The weekday lunch special at Little Sheep is a great introduction to Mongolian Hot Pot. For $12.95 per person you get a ton of food – choice of meat, noodles, veggies, meatballs, tofu, crab sticks, mushrooms and your choice of broth. Tobey and I got the 1/2 & 1/2 – original and spicy (both were good, but we both preferred the spicy). The boiling broth sits on a hot plate on your table and you use it to cook the meat and veggies, which arrive raw at the table. The staff offers free refills on the soup base, so you can have as much as you want. If you come other times, you order items a la carte (which can get pricey) – so the lunch special is not only a great deal, but a great way to try things that we would not normally have been brave enough to try (neither of us were big fans of the meatballs, but I loved the enoki mushrooms and Tobey loved the different kinds of tofu).
