Old City hosts First Friday events year round (although they are especially vibrant during the warmer months).  During First Friday, galleries typically have their new exhibit openings (sometimes with wine and snacks, if you are lucky). Sometimes area museums have events, too, so check websites for: The Science History Museum, The American Philosophical Society, The Museum of the American Revolution, Elfreth’s Alley, The Museum for Art in Wood and Christ Church. Most of the action takes place between Front & Third Streets and Market & Vine Streets.

Similar to First Friday in Old City, Second Thursdays take place along North American Street. From activities and exhibitions at The Clay Studio to the unique spaces at Next Fab (Bring items needing repair to Philly Fixer’s “Why replace it when you can repair it?”), to the hopping galleries in the refurbished Crane Arts (where we got to ride a goose!). It’s not as big or busy as Old City, but has better free drinks and food.
