including my favorite sandwich of 2025: the ham & pickled asparagus with jalapeño relish.

In addition to their deli and butcher counter, Heavy Metal offers seasonal, fixed-price trattoria dinners that focus on their head-to-tail butcher philosophy, as well as their goal of using only local ingredients. Our March 2025 dinner was sourced entirely from the Northeast, except for the olive oil which came from Georgia. 

While my brain was wondering what the heck I was putting in my mouth, my taste buds were loving every minute of it. The meal definitely pushed my culinary boundaries, but everything was SO good! 

While the deli/butcher is open Thursday-Sunday, trattoria dinners are one seating Thursday and Friday evenings only. There are only 14 seats, so join the mailing list to learn when reservations open.
