One of the best Philly grocery experiences is Riverwards Produce, housed in an old firehouse in the heart of trendy Fishtown. They source much of their produce directly from area farmers and support local businesses with shelf space. An all-in-one stop for many Philly favorites, such as Mighty Bread, Poi Dog sauces, Milk Jawn ice cream, Fiore gelato, Jezabel’s empanadas & alfajores, Mom Mom’s pierogie, Fishtown Ferments, Mycopolitan Mushrooms, …. plus, local vendors pop up frequently out front.

They have unusual produce, beautiful flower bouquets, no waste purchasing options, and a truly impressive wall of chocolate. All squeezed in a small space, which keeps it from being overwhelming. The perfect spot for both a weekly shopping run or picnic supplies. Don’t forget your reusable bag!

In March 2022 a second, larger branch opened in a gorgeous renovated warehouse on Bread Street in Old City. Same great products and friendly staff. They even have a juice/smoothie bar at this location.
