Yes, it’s loud and the food gets hit/miss reviews (although everyone loves the drinks), but how much fun is it to eat in this renovated Jiffy Lube!

The food is a mash-up of Chinese and Mexican, loosely based on the food of Mexicali, which has the largest Chinatown in Mexico.

Our appetizer of fried wonton chips and salsa was fun (best duck sauce I’ve had) and the fish tacos were tasty. We didn’t get dessert, but the green tea tres leches cake sounded intriguing. The menu rotates, and is full of small plates to share. Not a romantic dinner for 2 kind of place, but fun for a girl’s (or guy’s) night out.

Their mixed drink menu is more extensive than their beer menu, but they do serve beers from (very!) local breweries such as Triple Bottom, which is right down the street.
Outdoor seating available.
