The city has been doing a lot to become more pedestrian friendly and each year brings improvements to this great resource. It’s nice that pedestrians now have access to the riverfront and an option for a long, traffic-free, city walk (although, it can get very crowded with joggers and bikers). These photos are from our latest explorations – from the skate park by the Art Museum down to South Street, where the path goes out into the river. This portion of the trail is  between the river and the railroad tracks, so if you are lucky you can experience a freight train heading through the city.  Heading the opposite direction from the art museum will take you past the waterworks, boathouse-row, and the regatta course up to the East Falls bridge. The park offers movies, yoga and other events. Schuylkill Banks Trail Philadelphia
