Philly is full of great bakeries (see Best of Philly: Bakeries), but this little shop in the heart of the Passyunk restaurant scene deserves its own mention. The flavors are unique; definitely a new world and old world mash-up. Flavors like guava, coconut and corn, along with European styling and lots of condensed milk. The menu rotates both sweet and savory options (follow on Instagram to keep up to date). But, we can highly recommend any of the sonhos- sourdough donuts filled with custard. Definitely a best-of-Philly donut! Weekends only (pre-order to guarantee they don’t run out).

Tapioca cheese bread (Pão de Queijo – which can be purchased ready to eat or frozen in packs of 12 for Brazilian bake-at-home) and stewed chicken croquettes are tasty savory options.

Their cake rolls are works of art and come in a variety of flavors (like our orange/condensed milk), and the corn cakes with guava jam were delicious.

They also have holiday specials, like this floral Mother’s Day dessert assortment.

All these food posts are making me hungry! The cheese bread and cakes look delicious, as did the Ethiopian food in your other post.
