Best sausage sandwich in Philly? Check out the local Home Depots for an outpost of Rocco’s Italian Sausage. Several locations around the city (we ate at Oregon Avenue). They also have cheese-steaks, chicken, and breakfast sandwiches. Vegetarians can partake, since they also have an extensive menu of portobello mushroom sandwiches. Great service, great rolls, great prices ($6.50 for a “small” spicy Italian with peppers and onions – half shown in the photo) and an interesting atmosphere.
