Although there are plenty of restaurants in Old City (Philly Restaurant Review – European Republic (Best Fries!), The Bourse: A New Food Court in the Heart of Old City), it’s a bit of a challenge finding an inexpensive, casual, sit-down restaurant that also has interesting, yummy food.  Paprika Grill fits all our requirements.  It’s only a few blocks from the Independence Mall sites and offers lots of Mediterranean options.  We enjoyed the zucchini fritters and salad (extra feta!), but were most impressed with the Turkish pizza.  Paprika Grill PhiladelphiaThin and crispy, we got ours with the minced meat, but they have several other options that looked yummy.  Their meze dips and fresh-of-the-grill kebabs also looked good, so I think we will have to make a return trip for further research.

Location: 811 Sansom St. (near Independence Mall)
